Mark #1 is on the left side of the test with a hard angle back throw from left to right. The bird is thrown down the shoreline from one small piece of water to the shoreline of a large piece of water. The distance is 75 yards.
Mark #2 is the middle mark and it's the last live flyer of the invitational. The bird is the longest in the test, and the bird lands around 146 yards from the line, and is thrown from left to right. The line to this bird is through a piece of water, across a point of land, and up and out a fair bit on land through various cover.
Mark #3 is the shortest mark at 63 yards, and this mark is on the right side of the test. The bird is thrown across a small piece of water to the other side and lands in taller cover. The throw is from left to right.
After all the marks have been retrieved from the field all that is required is to complete 2 water blinds.
Blind #1 is 76 yards from the line and it is under the arc of Mark #1. The true line to the blind is a long entry into the middle of a pond. Up and out of that pond and clip the corner of the pond behind the first. Dogs must then get out of the water and carry a line under the arc of Mark #1 and continue to a tall tree.
Blind #2 is 118 yards, heading behind the flyer station but well short of the flyer gun station. This blind is another long entry into a bigger piece of technical water, up and out on a point of land, back into the water, head to the other side of the pond, and again up and out of the water and stay on land a short distance to the bird.
